My 0.02 Link's Awakening

First of all, I love Link's Awakening on the Switch and named my son Lincoln in part due to the brave warrior Link :)

Age-wise, 5 was a bit young for the complicated fight-while-exploring dynamic.  6 and up should like it though.  Early readers would have trouble completing the game without help.

It wasn't too scary though, even with the updated graphics.

I also used the walkthroughs when we got a little stuck.
